How to install Time Champ (Interactive Mode) on Ubuntu

Step 1: After logging in with the credentials, click on 'Navigate to Dashboard.



Step 2: Click on the Download Agent 




Step 3: Select the type of operating system




Step 4: Select 'to install for employees'




Step 3: Select the Interactive mode so that the user can see the tracker.  





Step 4:
 
 If you choose for the employees, select manual or automatic where:


Manual- You need to share the username and password with the employees to login to the application.


Automatic- No need to provide any credentials to the employees. User will create automatically based on the system-logged-in username





Step 5: Select the checkbox and click on download


Note: do not change the folder name and location



Note: 

If you're using Ubuntu 22 LTS, there are a few packages that need to be installed prior to setting up Timechamp. Follow the steps in the guide below for detailed instructions.

Step 6: Unzip the TimeChamp.Zip file and open TimeChamp folder



 


Step 8:  Open the Terminal.





Step 10: Run the below two commands.


$ chmod 777 timechamp-linux_64bit-setup.bash 
$  ./timechamp-linux_64bit-setup.bash
Generic





After the installation is completed, the Time Champ application will open automatically.

Note: In Ubuntu Systems, the time champ cant track the URLs visited by the user

To track the websites visited, please add the below browser extensions:


Add Chrome Extension from here

Add Mozilla Firefox Extension from here
