Delete status in the workflow.

Go to project settings from the Project tab.
Go to Workflow Management
Select the workflow in which the status has to be removed.
Since Closed has been linked to Completed in Workflow Status Transitions we will not be able to remove it directly from Workflow Status.
In order to remove that status, we need to remove the dependency in workflow Status Transitions.
1. The transition has to be updated. For that click on the edit icon.

2. Following popup will be displayed.

3. Select From transaction and To transaction to existed transaction. For example, transaction from Not started to Inprogress is already existed. So, here we will select the same combination and click on Update.

Thereby the combination of Completed to Closed will be removed from transactions.
Now click on the delete option beside closed status in Workflow Statuses.
Now, that status will be removed from the Workflow Statuses.
