LINUX -MULTI USER INSTALLATION IN SITES

Step 1:    Login into the admin user in the system 



Firstly, we need to check whether the application was previously installed or not in the admin account and user account.

If the application is already installed, then we need to run the uninstall files in the admin account and user account 


To uninstall the application in admin account or uninstall the application in user account please open the drive link. You can directly download the from the drive link

Step 2: 

For a silent application, click on the below link:
https://customer.v3.timechamp.io/Tracker/Linux/multiusers/5.8.1.20/Svcvtt.zip 

For an interactive application, click on the below link:
https://customer.v3.timechamp.io/Tracker/Linux/multiusers/5.8.1.20/TimeChamp.zip   

Step3: Extract the timechamp.zip file

Step 4: Download the timechamp file from the dashboard and copy the license key 

Download the interactive agent with automatic user creation

Automatic User Creation: If you select automatic, the user will be added automatically.

Below, Popup appears

Select the checkbox and click on the Download button

Step 4.1: go to downloads, place the downloaded file into any other folder, extract it, and follow the path shown in the screenshot.open license.txt and copy the license key.

Step 5:Paste the license key in the license.txt file. Refer to the path in below screenshot

Step 6: After that, open the terminal in downloads folder

Step 7: Run the below two commands in the terminal 

chmod +x setup.bash
./setup.bash


Step 8: After that, we need to check whether Timechamp folder  is created or not in the below path 



Step 9: Check whether the timechamp.log is created or not in the above folder, and also check whether the timechamp is running on the system monitor or not.



Step 10: After completing the installation, log out of the admin account and login to another user account.
