How to install Time Champ on windows

Learn how to set up Time Champ application in your system.

Each team member must temporarily disable their antivirus, and install the Time Champ package.

Step 1: Login into your Time Champ account

To login into the site click on sign in after giving the credentials 

Step 2: Go to Users tab

Click on the Users tab

Step 3: Click on the download agent button

below screen will appear

Step 4: Download the interactive or silent agent 

Interactive agent: The application would be seen as a visible window. the user would be potentially able to pause and resume the time collections.

Silent agent: The application would be running in the background. Users will not be able to stop the application.

Step 5: Download the interactive agent with automatic user creation

Automatic User Creation: If you select an auto user creation option and install. The user would be added automatically.

After clicking on the advanced options on the download agent page, advance options are displayed like this

Check the agent type and auto-creation type

Agent type: Interactive Agent

Auto Creation: Users would be auto-created from desktop logins

After selecting agent type and auto user creations Click on the Download agent button. The setup file will be downloaded.

The command prompt will be displayed after opening the downloaded setup file

After installing the setup file the Time Champ app will be displayed on the computer with an automatic login user and the app is displayed as below.

Download the interactive agent with manual user creation

Manual User Creation :

For the manual user creation, we need to add the user first.

To add a user, click on the Add User in the users tab

After clicking on Add user, the below screen will be displayed

Give the all mandatory fields
*First name
*Last name
*ID
*Username or email id and click on Add user button
After adding all your employees into Time Champ, They received a mail regarding resetting the password, They need to reset the password. After you need to install Time Champ software on their machines which depends on the Operating system they use.

After creating the user, select the Download agent button, click on the Advanced option

Check the agent and auto-creation type

Agent type: Interactive Agent

Auto Creation: Users would need to be added to the system manually

After selecting agent type and auto user creations Click on the Download agent. The setup file will be downloaded.

Open the downloaded file, the below screen will appear 

After installing the application, the below screen will appear

Enter the credentials and click on login, After clicking on login Time Champ app will be started running.

 Download the silent agent with automatic user creation

Click on the Advanced option

Check the agent type and auto-creation tabs

Agent type: Silent Agent

Auto Creation: Users would be auto-created from desktop logins

After selecting agent type and auto user creations Click on the Download agent. The setup file will be downloaded.

Open the downloaded file, the below screen will appear

After installing the setup file the Time Champ app will be running in the background it will not be displayed to users.

Download the silent agent with manual user creation

Manual User Creation :

For the manual user creation, we need to add a user first

To add a user click on the Add User in users tab

After clicking on Add user, Add user page is displayed

Give the all mandatory fields

*Last name
*ID
*Username or email id and click on Add user button
After creating the user, select the Download agent button, click on the Advanced option

Auto Creation: Users would need to be added to the system manually

After selecting agent type and auto user creations Click on the Download agent. The setup file will be downloaded.

Open the downloaded file, the below screen will appear

After installing the setup file the Time Champ app will be running in the background it will not be displayed to users.

Desktop Assign: For manual user creation in silent agent we need to assign the desktop for the user on-site.

For that go to the Desktop tab

In that Desktop tab, Time Champ installed computer name is displayed in unassigned desktops tab in Desktops tab in that click on Actions

Click on the assign desktop in actions pop up

After clicking on the assign desktop button, the below screen will appear. Select the respective user name from the drop-down 

After selecting the user click on Assign and the desktop will be added to the assigned desktops list and Time Champ started running in the background.
