Step 1: Login to the site with credentials
Step 2: Navigate to Projects
Step 3: Here, you can see a dropdown by clicking the project module.
Click on the projects tab under project module.
Creating a new Project:
If the organization has got a new project, you need to add the details of that project like start date,
end date, budgets etc. To maintain the reports in the project and analysis of the work is going, for that it will be helpful.
Step 1: Click on the + icon in the top right corner
Step 2: After clicking + icon, a pop up will be displayed
Here you have to fill the required details -
Project name
Project responsible person
Client (optional) - If the project is client based, then mention the name of the client
Refer to step 3 to know how to add a client
Start date
End date (optional)
If the project is billable then you must ensure that Is billable is enabled.
Step 3: Adding a client:
1. Go to Clients module
2. Click on Add client
3. A pop up will be displayed, provide the required details of the client
Fill the details required-
Company name
Client Address
Client type
Location
4.Click Next and we can see the Contact information of the client
Fill the required details and click next
5. Here you have to add the projects to the client
And after selecting projects, click on save.
6.You can archive the client by clicking the option under actions.
Step 4: After giving details of the project, click Next
You can see custom fields section, which is optional
Here you can add the description for the project.
Step 5: Click on next
You can see Budget section if you select Is billable in step 2 and you can’t this section if you
won’t select Is billable
In the Budgets, give the budget details of the project
Budget Type: Choose whether to track the budget based on Total Hours or Total Cost.
Pay rate: This is the amount of money paid to the worker (employee, freelancer, or contractor) by
the company or agency.
Bill Rate: This is the amount the client is charged for that worker's time.
Notify At: Set a percentage to receive alerts when the specified portion of the budget is used.
Reset: Define whether the budget should reset for recurring tracking.
If you select Total hours in the budget type, you will get an option to select Total hours
And if you select Total cost, you will get an option to select the total Cost for the project
Step 6: Click on Next and you can see members
Here, add the members to the project
Click on the checkbox left to the name of the Employee you want to allocate the project and click
on edit option under actions.
Step 7: You can see an Edit Allocation Details popup
Provide the bill rate or pay rate of your choice
Select role of the employee in project
Pay type – whether Hourly or Fixed amount
Technology (optional)
Step 8: Click on update
Select the date you want to allocate the project from and to for the employee
Give the allocation percentage of project to the employee and click on allocate resource
And click on Add Project.
A project will be created, and you can see it in the project dashboard.
You can edit the project by clicking on edit option under actions.
You can archive the project by clicking on archive option under actions tab.
You can download the whole list of projects by clicking on the export option.
You can see the archived projects list by enabling archived option here.
Adding a goal:
Time Champ allows you to create goals in order to divide the work in the project and assigned to
the employees.
Step 1: Click on the project
Click on Add goal to add a goal to the project.
Step 2: A popup will be displayed
Provide the necessary goal information-
Goal Name
Goal Short Name
Goal Start Date
Goal End Date (optional)
Estimated Time (optional)
Responsible Person
Board type
To be tracked: Enable this if the goal should be monitored for progress.
Is productive board: Mark this if the goal contributes to measurable productivity.

Step 3: If you want to add another goal, we can add it in backlog
For adding goal in backlog, click on Go to backlog
Click on + icon to create a goal
Fill the details required to create a goal
Click on Add and to make the goal active, click on approve icon
And we can see the goal in the dashboard
To share the work in the project the tasks will be created and assigned to the employees and those
who are responsible for the task can log their work in the task itself.
Step 1: To add a task, click on the + icon
Step 2: A pop up will be displayed
Fill the required details for adding a work item-
Work item
Work item type and some other optional fields
And we can see the work item in the first column.
Step 3: To start the task, just click the play button on the work item.
Step 4: After clicking the play button, time is automatically logged for the work item after
pausing the task.
You can see the time spent on the task by clicking on the task and navigating to the time tab.
Step 5: You can also log the time manually for a task
To log the time manually, just click on the work item and then navigate to the time tab
Here you can see some details to be filled
Fill all the details required
Spent Time – Time spent on the work item
Date
Remaining estimate
And Work description – work you have done on the task in the provided time.
Adding bugs:
To add bugs in a project we have to add a goal with board Type Kanban Bugs
Step 1: Click on Add goal
Step 2: Here in the Board Type field, select Kanban bugs
Step 3: After adding goal, approve the goal
Similar to adding task mentioned above, click on the + icon to add the bug
A popup for adding a bug is displayed.
Provide the required details for the bug creation-
Bug name
Work item type
And other optional fields
Then click on Add
You can start the task by clicking the play button
Parking a goal:
You can postpone a goal by parking the goal
To park a goal, right click on the goal and select park goal option
You can see the parked goals here
To resume a goal, right click on the parked goal and click resume goal.
Replan Goal:
Time Champ allows you to replan the goals in order to share the work in the project and assigned
to the employees.
Step 1: To replan a goal, Right click on the goal and click edit goal option.
Step 2: In the board Type, select superagile
And click update
Step 3: After updating the view will be like this.
Step 4: Click on the lock icon to replan the goal.
After clicking on the lock icon, you can view it like this.
Step 5: Click on the eye icon, there you can view the dropdown to be replan based on the
requirement.
Step 6: To replan the goal, click on the approve icon.
After approving we can again see the goal under active goals.
Goal Reports:
To view the reports of a goal, click on the three dots option here
Select Reports
Here you can see four reports related to goals.
Goal Burn Down Report: Visualizes the planned vs. actual progress (in hours) of a goal over time
to track completion trends.
Work Item Status Report – Summarizes the status of all work items under a specific goal.
Goal Activity – Displays a timeline of actions or updates made to the goal, such as changes in status, assignments, or estimates.
Goal Replan History – Shows the replan history of a goal.
Adding Sprints:
Time Champ Sprints help teams provide high-quality work more quickly and often while also
giving them more flexibility to adjust to change.
Step 1: To add the sprints to a goal, click on the three dots icon
Step 2: Click on the project settings option
Step 3: Select the edit option beside enable agile view and enable the option.
Step 4: Again, go back to active goals and there you can see sprints option.
Step 5: Click the sprints option and click on Go to backlog option to add a sprint.
Step 6: Click on + icon to add sprint
Step 7: A sprint will be created like this
Step 8: You have to create a work item to start the sprint
To create a work item, click on the option shown below
Step 9: Click on Create a work item and add the work item.
Step 10: Starting the sprint
To start a sprint, you must have to provide the estimated time to complete the sprint.
Click on the + icon here
Step 10: Enter the start date and end date of the sprint
Click on save.
Step 11: You can see the sprint in active and click on sprints
Step 12: Click on the play button to start the work and you can see the time limit of the sprint here.
You can also replan sprint by clicking on the lock icon here
You can also see vertical view by clicking on vertical
To delete a sprint, right click on the sprint and select Delete sprint option.
To complete a sprint, right click on the sprint and select Complete sprint option.
Similarly, you can also edit sprint details by selecting the Edit sprint option.
To see the completed sprints, click on the three dots at the top right corner beside the project name
and click on Completed sprints.
To see the reports of the completed sprint, click on the option shown below
Select reports option and here you can see the reports.
Adding Documents to a Project:
Step 1: To add documents to a project, click on documents option
Step 2: Click on upload files option to upload a file.
You can also add a folder by clicking on the Add folder option.
Reports of a Project:
To see the reports of a project, click on reports beside documents.
Delayed Goals – Shows goals that have missed their planned deadlines.
Delayed Work Items – Displays tasks or work items not completed within the expected time
frame.
Goals Not Ontrack – List of goals that are currently behind schedule or progress expectations.
Long Running Items – Shows the work items that are taking longer than usual to complete.
Employees Current Work Items – Shows all ongoing work items assigned to the logged
employee.
Users Spent Time Details Report – Shows how much time users have spent on their assigned
tasks for a week. Here users include the logged employee and the team assigned to him.
Work Logging Report – Tracks time logged by users against their work items or tasks. Here you
have a date filter too.
Work Items Waiting for QA Approval – Lists tasks that are completed and pending QA review
or approval.
Highest Bugs Goals List – Displays goals associated with the highest number of reported bugs.
Goal Work Items Vs Bugs Count – Compares the number of work items to the number of bugs
for each goal.
Goals Vs Bugs Count (P0, P1, P2) – Breaks down bugs per priority (P0, P1, P2) against associated
goals.
Bug Report – Summarizes all bugs reported, including their status, severity, and assignments.
Work Items Analysis Board – Provides an analysis board view of work items across statuses
or types.
Work Report – Displays detailed information about each work item including its time estimates.
Adding Scenarios to a Project:
Step 1: To add scenarios to a project, click on scenarios next to reports.
Step 2: To add the scenario, click on Add scenario
Step 3: A pop up will be displayed. Enter the name of scenario and click Add Scenario.
Step 4: Click on Add the first section and add the section by clicking on Add section.
Step 5: By clicking on the section, you can see three options
To add subsections, click on + icon
To edit the section, click on edit icon
To delete the section, click on delete option.
Step 6: To add another section, click on + icon
Step 7: Click on Add case to add the test cases for the project.
Step 8: Enter the test case and click on Add.
Step 9: Hover the mouse on the test case and you can see edit and delete options there.
Click on the edit option to edit the test case.
Step 10: Edit the details of the test case and click on Save test case.
Adding Runs to a Project:
Step 1: Click on Runs next to scenarios.
Step 2: To add a run, click on Add Run.
Step 3: Select the scenario of which you want to run the testcase.
Click on Add.
Step 4: After clicking Add, you can see a popup showing to select some required fields.
Select the fields and click on Add run.
Step 5: Here you can see the testcase that you have runned.
Step 6: You can change the status of test case by clicking on the option shown below
Step 7: Select the status of testcase from the options provided.
Click on Update.
Step 8: You can add another run by clicking on + icon beside search.
Activity Done on a Project:
Step 1: Click on Activity beside runs
Step 2: Here you can see all the activity done by the employees on the project.
Step 3: If you want to include work item view, you can make it by clicking on x mark beside it.
If you want to include log time view, you can make it by clicking on x icon beside it.
Project Summary:
Step 1: To see the details of the project, click on Project summary beside activity.
Here you can see the time status of the project.
Green represents spent time.
Here you can see all the project members and their roles, payrate, bill rate.
You can also add members to the project here by clicking on + icon at the top right corner.
Adding members to Project:
You can also add members to the project by clicking on the three dots option at the top right
corner in the active goals dashboard.
Select members and you can see existing project members there.
Click on the + icon at the top right corner and add members to the project.
Tasks:
In the tasks tab, you can see the list of tasks in all the projects.
Step 1: To see the tasks, go to the tasks tab beside projects.
Here you can see all the tasks assigned to the logged user.
To see all the tasks of all the employees, click on x option beside Work item assignee.
By removing created date filter, you can see the tasks of all time.
Here you can see all tasks and to download them, click on the downloads option.
To apply filters, click on filter icon at top right corner.
In filters, you can see two types of filters -
Saved filters and created filter.
To create a filter, click on create filter.
Fill in the fields you want to apply filters to.
To save the filter, click on Save option.
To save and apply the filter, click on save and apply option.
To apply the filter without saving, click on apply option.
Activity:
In the Activity tab, you can see all the activity done on all the projects.
To see the activity, click on Activity tab beside tasks.
In activity, you have a filter option. To filter the activity, click on the filter icon.
Employee – Filter the activity to view work items assigned to specific employees.
Project – Filter activity based on the selected project(s).
Include Work Item View – Choose to include or exclude detailed information about work items.
Include Log Time – To include data based on time logged by users on tasks or not.
DATE – Filter data within a specific date range.
